"Manchester City announced on its official website the transfer of Leipzig centre-back Joschko Guardiola.
The reigning English champion paid £77.6 million for Guardiola, and the Croatian defender signed a 5-year deal with City.
It will be recalled that Guardiola played a total of 87 matches for Leipzig and scored 5 goals. He also played 21 matches for the Croatian national team.
