Zenit St. Petersburg footballer: "The Czechs won't allow Russian passports. I had to urgently change my plans

Zenit St Petersburg footballer Vyacheslav Karavaev said that he faced problems at the Turkish airport because of his Russian passport.

"We waited six hours for a connection, and when we got to the exit, we were told that the Czechs would not let us in with Russian passports. We had to urgently change our plans and take a ticket to Austria. In the end, it took us another three hours to get to Prague by car. We had adventures on the way back, too. We barely had time for a connection when we flew from Amsterdam to St. Petersburg. The first flight was delayed and the connection was only 1 hour and 10 minutes. We ended up running for the flight," Karavaev told local media.
