UEFA will send two security observers to the first match of the 3rd qualifying round of the Conference League between Greek Aris and Dynamo Kyiv, which will take place tomorrow in Thessaloniki at the Kleantis Vikelidis stadium, reports sport-fm.gr.
According to the source, such a move by UEFA is related to the tragic event that took place before the first match of the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League between Greek AEK and Dinamo Zagreb. This meeting was supposed to take place yesterday in Athens, but the starting whistle was not blown. The reason for this was the murder of an AEK fan in a brawl that broke out in front of the stadium shortly before kick-off.
As a result, UEFA considered that the Aris vs Dinamo match also posed an increased risk for the fans.
