Deciding to change the course of the game, the Ukrainian team made a quick substitution, replacing Svatok with J. Pasic at the beginning of the second half. Slavia Prague started the second half actively, trying to increase their advantage. However, on 51 minutes the goal was cancelled due to offside by V. Jurecki. Despite this setback, the team continued to attack, putting pressure on Dnipro-1's defence.
The tension reached its peak in the 58th minute, when Slavia Praha player I. Ogbu received a red card, leaving the hosts ten men. Having gained a numerical advantage, Dnipro-1 hoped to get back on track. In an attempt to win back, they made a third substitution, replacing R. Babenko with O. Pihalenok. However, Slavia Praha continued to defend confidently, frustrating the opponent at every step. As the frustration grew, Dnipro 1 started to accumulate yellow cards. B. Lednev and V. Rubchinsky received yellow cards in the 72nd and 74th minutes respectively. On the 79th minute Slavia Prague made a flurry of substitutions, bringing on M. van Buren, V. Jurecka, K. Vallem and O. Lingra. The substitutions bore fruit: in the 81st minute K. Vallem scored a goal for Slavia Prague, effectively sealing the victory for his team. In the last minutes of the game conflicts broke out again, as a result of which V. Kravets, a player of Dnipro-1, received a yellow card on the 87th minute. In the 90th minute Slavia Praha player L. Masopust received a yellow card. The match ended with a convincing 3-0 victory of Slavia Praha over Dnipro-1. The hosts demonstrated their skills and proved that they are one of the main contenders to qualify for the UEFA Europa League. This victory will undoubtedly give confidence to Slavia Praha team in further advancement in the standings. Dnipro 1, in turn, need to regroup and learn from this defeat in order to succeed again in the next matches.
