Greek Aris head coach Apostolos Terzis summarised the results of his team's first match against Dynamo Kyiv (1-0) in the 3rd qualifying round of the Conference League, which took place yesterday in Thessaloniki.
"The main thing is that we managed to play this match with the necessary level of concentration. This allowed the team to clearly follow the game plan, especially in the defensive part. The team fulfilled the set-up for the match 100%. I think we showed our best game this year. A great victory.
But I understand very well that nothing is over yet. "Dynamo" is a quality team, in which danger comes from a lot of players, and which scores a lot of goals in the Ukrainian championship. That is why today our players were especially focused during defensive actions. They deserve congratulations.
At the same time, the final score is not quite fair to us. We should have scored two or three goals. But there were no special threats at our goal," Tersis said after the match with Dynamo.
