"Girona" is interested in Pihalenka

Dnipro 1 midfielder Oleksandr Pikhalenok is of interest to Spanish Girona.

Apart from Artem Dovbik, the Catalans' coach Mitchell liked two players - Oleksandr Pikhalenok and Volodymyr Brazhko. Both players were considered as potential replacements for Oriol Romeu, who was sold to Barcelona in the summer.

Brazko belongs to Dynamo and has a long-term contract. Consequently, this transition looks unrealistic. In turn, the potential transfer of Pihalenok in the summer was impossible due to financial fair-play. "Girona" spent almost 15 million euros on new players in the summer. It will be difficult for it to register another newcomer for serious money in La Liga. Besides, Dnipro 1 are not ready to lose two of their leaders at the same time.

"Girona" will continue to keep a close eye on Pihalenok. A potential transfer is possible already in winter. Much will depend on the success of Dovbik's play for Girona in La Liga.
