Dynamo U-19 head coach Ihor Kostiuk commented on his team's home match against Kharkiv's Metalist 1925, in which the Kyiv team won with a 7-0 scoreline.
- It may seem like an easy win, but it was the result of hard work in training. It so happened that we scored a quick goal, and the organisation of the game allowed us to apply the tactics we had planned and achieve a significant result, scoring seven goals.
- You defeated Minaj 3-0, then Obolon and Metalist 1925 7-0. Are you satisfied with your team's performance in recent matches?
- Of course we are. We focus on this. The whole team is working to ensure that we convert our chances. We work on it in training. Football is played to score goals and keep them out of the net - that's the main thing. I am pleased that the organisation of our game is gradually getting better, especially in the middle of the pitch, and it is also good that we are not conceding goals. But there are still certain moments when we don't finish the game with our opponents. The players don't quite understand when the pulse rises, where they need to adjust, and with such a scoreline they take such liberties. Today, Slava Surkis helped us out several times, in particular, when the opponent came out one-on-one due to a mistake by our defenders. This is a consequence of the fact that the score was already high.
- Usually, Kremchanin takes free kicks. Today it was Ponomarenko who took it and scored. How do the players decide who will take the kick?
- Kremchanin often takes free kicks from the left flank, Ponomarenko and Matkevych from the right. We look at the training sessions to see who kicks how. We have several regular performers.
- You lost three goalkeepers at once and therefore had to call up a guy born in 2007. How is the goalkeepers' recovery going?
- They are recovering according to plan. I think they will start training soon.
