Serhiy Hryn: "Shakhtar received a full transfer offer for me from Vitesse, and I learnt about it a year later"

Former Shakhtar midfielder Serhiy Hryn said about the failed transfer to Vitesse.

"I was then put before the fact: either I go on loan to Mariupol, or I will train with the double. I don't know why it came out that way. At that time I had an offer from the Cypriot team, I do not remember exactly which one, also on loan. I wanted to leave, but they didn't let me go.

Moreover, after a while I learnt that Shakhtar had received a full transfer offer from Vitesse. It was right after my first event at Mariupol. However, I was not even informed about it. I learnt this offer about a year later from one of the agents.

As far as I know, Shakhtar did not even consider any offers from other clubs for me at that time," Hryn said.
