Despite the setback, Nantes continued to go forward and were penalised with a penalty in the 13th minute. Mostafa Mohamed, confidently stepping forward, converted the penalty and put Nantes ahead. However, Nantes' indiscipline became a cause for concern: N. Pallois received a yellow card in the 18th minute. Toulouse were also not left out of it: in the 52nd minute L. Costa received a warning. The first half ended with a flurry of penalties: on 45 minutes P. Chirivella received a yellow card for Nantes. With the score 1:0 in favour of Nantes, both teams went to the break with different plans for the second half. In the 62nd minute the game turned when Toulouse player Z. Aboukhlal levelled the score. Nantes tried to regain control of the game by making a few substitutions.
J. Hajam replaced M. Coco in the 60th minute, and A. Lafont came on in place of D. Petrik in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, S. Augusto and K. Bamba were replaced by D. Augusto and C. Bamba. Moutoussami and M. Simon. Toulouse also made their first substitution - M. Diarra replaced F. Shaibi in the 70th minute. However, the substitutions could not prevent a yellow card received by Toulouse player V. Sierro in the 73rd minute. As time ran out, both teams made crucial substitutions in an attempt to find a winner. In the 83rd minute, D. Jeanrot and N. Schmidt replaced D. Petric and Z. Aboukhlal in the Toulouse line-up. Z. Aboukhlal was replaced by F. Magri. "Nantes", desperate to save the victory, made the last substitution: in the 89th minute Mostafa Mohamed was replaced by Marquinhos. However, the final advantage in the match remained with Toulouse. In the 90th minute, R. Nicolaisen scored a goal to put Toulouse ahead. After that, Toulouse made two more substitutions: J. Begraoui replaced V. C. Begraoui. Begraoui replaced V. Sierro, and T. Dallinga replaced V. Camanzi in the penalty time. As a result, Toulouse triumphed with a 2-1 victory, leaving Nantes disappointed with a second half defeat. It was an exciting encounter with plenty of penalties, penalties and notable substitutions that added a twist to the game.
