Zorya Luhansk head coach Nenad Lalatovic commented on the 2-1 victory over Vorskla in the third round of the Ukrainian championship.
Nenad Lalatovich- I have great emotions now. It was a very difficult away game. Skrypnyk is a good coach, and Vorskla is a great team. I am very grateful to the players for being disciplined and playing aggressively. They played the way we wanted, tactically competently. We scored a quick goal, but had the opportunity to score three more times in the first half and close the game.
In the second half, we gave our opponents a chance to get back into the game. But we believed that we had to win, and thanks to Jordan's goal, we did. I must say again that the physical condition of our players is not yet optimal. We also had a lot of injuries. Now the situation is changing. We will improve and become better in every game.
This victory is for the fans of Zorya. I stand with the Ukrainian people. I really want the war to end as soon as possible. I want no Ukrainian mother to cry and I want your country to live better. I came here at the most difficult time in Ukraine's history to show how much I love this country. Ukraine is in my heart. I want to leave my mark here. Many thanks to the players.
