Oleksandriya defender: "We wanted to beat Shakhtar

Oleksandriya defender Vladyslav Baboglo summarised the meeting of the 3rd round of the Ukrainian championship 2023/2024 with Shakhtar Donetsk, in which his team lost 1:2.

- Alexandria played the second half just great. Was it the home team or did you improve?

- It was a combination of factors. The Pitmen were not so active, and we managed to turn the tide. I agree, we were unlucky in the second half. I think it will come back to us in the next games.

- "Alexandria" conceded identical goals in the first half. What is the reason?

- We were caught on a mistake, we are talking about the second goal. We will work harder.

- You went to Kyiv as one of the leaders of the season. Would a draw be a good result?

- I think that a draw would be a good result for our team in a confrontation with the grandee of Ukrainian football. But we wanted to win.

- In the summer, many experienced players left the team. Now a lot depends on young players. Did it benefit "Alexandria"?

- Our internal kitchen has changed. I think that we have become more united, everyone fights for each other. There is a good atmosphere inside the team.
