Unai Melgosa, the head coach of the Ukrainian youth national team, spoke about how he sees his tasks in this position.
- I consider myself a part of Serhii Rebrov's project, as the youth national team is a kind of bridge for players to get into the first team. Currently, my role is to train the players so that they quickly adapt to the national team. In addition, I am the coordinator of the interaction between the U-17, U-19 and U-21 teams, where I have very similar tasks - to implement players into more senior teams.
In Uzhhorod, we worked to launch the process initiated by Serhii Rebrov. We interacted with specialists who have been working for the UAF for a long time. We discussed the ideas of the game, working with players who need to be prepared for the national team," Melgosa said.
