Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has admitted that the club could not prevent midfielders Jordan Henderson and Fabinho from leaving for Saudi Arabia.
"As for Gendo and Fabinho, they came to my office, sat down and told me about their desire to leave. When I found out more details about the terms offered, I realised that we had virtually no chance of stopping them. The financial terms of this league are absolutely exceptional. I would say they have almost no limits. Anyone who can sign Cristiano Ronaldo and pay him a salary has no limits, of course.
I don't know how much and for how long they are going to continue this. At the end of the day, Saudi Arabia, like Qatar before it, is interested in developing its football and its players. I have no idea yet how much Saudi Arabia's financial efforts will change football, but some things will definitely change," Klopp was quoted as saying by Sport1.
