Kucher may return to Metalist

Former Dnipro-1 coach Oleksandr Kucher may once again take charge of Kharkiv's Metalist, which he managed before leaving for the Dnipro team in the summer of 2022.

Oleksandr Kucher

As you know, the day before, on 20 August, Kucher left his coaching post at Dnipro-1. This happened after the team's defeat in the UPL by Obolon (1-2). Earlier this season, the Dnipro team completed their performances in the Champions League and Europa League qualifiers.

The pause in Kucher's coaching career may be short-lived. It is expected that he may soon take over at Metalist again. This can happen if the Kharkiv team, currently led by Andriy Anishchenko, does not show normal results in the First League.

Kucher's return to Metalist will be the initiative of Yevhen Krasnikov. We will remind, a few days ago he left the position of sporting director of Dnipro-1 and admitted that he was returning to work at Metalist.

"Metalist ranks 7th in the Group A standings of the First League with 4 points after 4 games.
