- I read that one of the duo Valeriy Gorodov and Oleksandr Hrytsay will be preparing Dnipro-1 for the upcoming matches. It was also announced that the new head coach will be a foreigner - perhaps the same Spaniard Gonzalo Garcia, who is being actively wooed to the club. Of course, it's up to the club's management to decide.

But I will say this: we shouldn't belittle the skills of Ukrainian coaches. Over the weekend, our Yuriy Vernydub almost rubbed the nose of the Dutchman Patrick van Leeuwen ( Kryvbas vs Shakhtar 3-3 - ed.), Roman Hryhorchuk and his Chornomorets beat Mircea Lucescu's Dynamo 3-2, and Ruslan Rotan's Oleksandriya almost held Nenad Lalatovic's Zorya 0-0, "almost" because Vladyslav Kalytyntsev hit the crossbar.

Of course, I would like to see our Ukrainian coaches given preference. Our coaching school is very good. The most important thing is that the coach who comes to the club has a clear position and a plan for the development of the team, and not just to make money,"Ukrainian Footballquoted Kovalets as saying.

Школа, может быть, и хорошая. Но школа собственников клубов осталась прежняя... Иностранец хоть иногда может постоять за свои принципы, а нашему сразу рога обломают...
