Mykhailo Kopolovets, a former footballer of Lviv's Karpaty and Zakarpattia's Minay, has become an assistant to Andriy Sheketa, a member of the Zakarpattia Regional Council, whom Mykhailo will advise on sports issues.
Sheketa himself said this in a comment toSuspilne.
"Mykhailo and I have known each other for a long time, we got to know each other better during our volunteer trips to the east," said the deputy. "He will help me and advise me on certain issues in the sports sector. When I need to ask a question to an athlete, not a bureaucrat. It is in this area that he will be useful to me."
Andrii Sheketa added that the assistants to the regional council deputies, like the regional council deputies themselves, work on a voluntary basis: "Given that until recently I had only one assistant out of five, I decided to offer Mykhailo the role of assistant."
