Today, on 24 August, Dinamo Bucharest will host Turkish Besiktas in the first match of the qualification play-off round of the Conference League. Yuriy Virt, a former player of the Ukrainian national team, shared his expectations from the confrontation in the Romanian capital:
Yuri Wirth- "I think that Dynamo will score their goal to Besiktas, but whether they will be able to keep their gates intact - I doubt. Unfortunately, lately the defensive play of Kyiv team is a headache not only for the coaching staff, but also for numerous fans. Nevertheless, we can only hope that the experienced coach Mircea Lucescu will choose both an effective tactical scheme and players who will fulfil the instructions, first of all, when defending their own possession.
I am sure that there will be no problems with the mood, because the Dynamo players know very well that their main task is to make it to the group stage. We can only guess what will happen in case of failure.
That's why today it's important to win at least with a minimal advantage in the score to create a certain margin of safety. Otherwise, it will be difficult to resist the hosts in Istanbul in the return match, who are guaranteed to have a tremendous support from the fans.
