Fans of Spartak Trnava: "Gibraltar would be proud of Dnipro-1!"

Slovakian fans are disappointed that Spartak failed to beat Dnipro-1 after having a numerical advantage (1-1) for most of the match. They believe that their team played better and deserved to win, but they are worried that Spartak's luck was turned away from them, as they failed to put pressure on the Ukrainian club and also earned a stupid penalty, which they believe was the only dangerous moment at Spartak's goal.

Sevcik: How could you not win against such a weak opponent? To have a huge advantage the whole match and score only one goal? It's very bad. And then we created problems for ourselves with that strange penalty against us.

Pietro: I'm ready to believe that Spartak played for the bookies. We could have defeated Dnipro-1, but instead our defender was desperately trying to earn a penalty. In that situation, it made no sense to act like that. I would have investigated the club's management.

Bodo: The Ukrainian team finished the match with nine men, and you still couldn't beat them. It seems that they were trying to draw on purpose, and the referee was only interfering with his red cards. There were no such stupid situations with the Poles.

Cernakov: I wouldn't blame the team. We were unlucky in this match. To create so many chances and score only one goal is incredible. The Ukrainians should be happy because we left them a chance to qualify for the group round.

Zabka: I'm disappointed. When you have a numerical advantage for most of the match, you should be winning the game, not drawing.

Bendik: Typical Spartak football. We have more players, we just need to use this advantage, but the opponent closes in their penalty area and doesn't come out. And we don't know what to do about it. This is the difference between a strong club and an average one. We just didn't know how to use our advantage. That's why we can't achieve more in European competitions.

Skodov: We lack a creator in the centre of the pitch. There were so many moments when one pass could have solved everything. But we were constantly delaying our attacks, moving to the flanks, waiting for everyone to catch up. This prevented us from scoring goals. The only goal was scored by accident.

Hajek: The last ten minutes were more like handball than football. Some useless passing from flank to flank, no sharpening, no dangerous shots. Until we learn how to play as the first team in such matches, we will suffer from poor results.

Karlik: It's a lot of criticism. Especially from those who don't go to the stadium to support the team. The guys fought for the result, but they couldn't break through this bus. But I believe that Spartak will go on. We have shown that we are stronger and can reach the group round.

Mukus: Dnipro-1 had one shot on target. The name of their club turned out to be very telling. They took one shot on goal, scored one goal and conceded one goal.

Hubinsky: For the first time in my life, I just got up and left the stadium. Even when we lose 0-3, but we play, I support the team. But today I was ashamed. It's similar to matches with teams from Malta or San Marino. They get to the opponent's goal once, score an occasional goal, and then sit in defence for 90 minutes.

Skovran: It is usually said that the opponent has "parked the bus" at their goal if they do not try to attack, but only defend with the whole team. Following this logic, Dnipro-1 put a whole train at their goal. I did not expect the Ukrainians to play so badly that they would be afraid to attack.

Kilika: Nothing terrible happened. We played well, but Spartak were unlucky. We'll win the return leg easily and we'll be able to reach the group stage.

Vacek: Don't be idiots, stop criticising the team! Come to the stadium and support Spartak. Nothing is lost, we still have a great chance of reaching the group stage. Today we proved that we are stronger than the Ukrainians. We just need to take advantage of our chances.

Drahos: It would be a shame not to get past such an opponent. It's a shame to miss out on such an incredible chance to get to the group stage. "Dnipro-1 played badly, but we couldn't use it.

Pojazdalov: Gibraltar would be proud of Dnipro-1! Playing for 90 minutes, standing in defence, scoring an occasional goal from a ridiculous penalty. This is how all teams from small countries like Gibraltar, San Marino, etc. play.

Katona: We just made it a bit harder for ourselves. On the other hand, there will be no relaxation. The team will work on implementation and win the second match.

Steklo: We should have won 6-1 today, but ended up drawing. I wonder if in the return leg the Ukrainians will again stand in defence for 90 minutes and not shoot on goal? Do they realise that if they miraculously make it to the group round, they will play even worse there?

Mellov: I'm satisfied. We played with one of the best clubs in Ukraine, but after drawing, we are disappointed, not them. This speaks to the strength of Spartak, who played much better than the Ukrainians for the entire 90 minutes. After the draw, I was afraid that Dnipro-1 would be much stronger than all our previous opponents. It turned out not to be the case.

Walkery: Dnipro-1 showed that we had overestimated them. Even in the previous rounds, we had stronger opponents. Everything should have ended differently, with our confident victory. Now it will be difficult in the return leg because the Ukrainians can believe in themselves after such a match and cause us a lot of problems.
