According to the TaToTake telegram channel, the Dynamo leader experienced muscle discomfort back in Sunday's Ukrainian championship match against Chornomorets (2:3), and then aggravated the injury at the first full training session after this game.

The nature of Yarmolenko's injury suggests treatment and recovery for at least two weeks. Thus, the footballer will surely miss the return match against Besiktas. And Andriy's age, which affects the recovery time, puts into question his participation in the next two matches of the Ukrainian national team - against England (9 September) and Italy (12 September) in the qualifying cycle of Euro-2024.

It is also reported that Yarmolenko's injury is the reason behind the decision of the head coach of the Ukraine national team Serhiy Rebrov to call up Dynamo midfielder Oleksandr Karavaev additionally for the September training camp of the national team.
