English clubs set another transfer record

The clubs of the elite division of the English championship have updated the transfer record of the summer transfer window.

Last summer's transfer window saw clubs spend £1.92bn, and now, a week before the window closes, they have already spent £1.95bn.

At the same time, the volume of net expenditure has decreased: this year, clubs spent £825m more than they received, while last year the difference was £1.1bn.

Among all clubs, Chelsea London obviously spent more. "The Blues have shelled out £340m this summer, which is an all-time record for the summer window.
