As time ticked away, both teams were looking forwards in search of more goals. Mallorca's efforts bore fruit in the 87th minute when S. Costa hit the net, cutting the lead to 3-2. Both teams played hard in the final minutes of the match, but Granada were able to hold their lead until the final whistle.
