Luhansk Zorya forward Nazariy Rusyn is almost a player for English side Sunderland, according to journalist Ihor Burbas.
According to the source, to complete the transfer, Nazariy needs to obtain a work visa in the UK.
However, there may be problems here, as Rusyn is not a player of either the national or youth national teams of Ukraine, and the relevant department of the UK Government usually requires immigrant players to have played 75 per cent of official matches for these teams in their home countries over the past two years. However, the situation in this area of Ukrainian-British relations may have changed for the better over the past year.
