Dynamo Kyiv continues preparations for the return leg of the Conference League play-off qualifying round with Turkish side Besiktas, which will take place next Thursday in Istanbul.
The White and Blues will be preparing for this game in Bucharest until Tuesday, when they will travel to Istanbul. After the first game, the team had one day off. On Sunday, the Dynamo players had a morning training session in the gym and trained on the football pitch in the evening.
On that day, the evening training session took place at a new location. Over the past few weeks, the Kyiv team has already trained at the training bases of Rapida and Dinamo Bucharest, as well as at Rapida's home arena, Giulesesti.
This time, the Dynamo players were invited to train at the Angel Iordanescu Stadium, which is the home arena of Voluntari football club, based in the town of the same name north of Bucharest. The Dynamo players were invited here by Florin Cernat, the famous player of our club in the 2000s, who finished his career at Voluntari and now works at the club as a sports director.
The training session was intense and consisted entirely of game exercises. The players practised both tactical elements and individual actions in attack and defence. Oleksandr Andrievskyi, Vladyslav Kabaev and Andriy Yarmolenko, who missed the first match against Besiktas due to injury, did not train with the general group.
The return leg at Besiktas Park will start on Thursday at 21:00 Kyiv time.
