"Girona is negotiating the transfer of the 22-year-old, but the Blaugrana head coach Xavi wants to keep the Spaniard in the team. Garcia is intended to replace Santiago Bueno, who will soon join Wolverhampton for €10 million.
It is interesting to note that Barcelona had previously put Erik Garcia up for transfer. However, after several injuries suffered by the defensive line, Xavi changed his mind and is now against the player's departure.
