"Besiktas" expectedly went on the attack from the starting whistle, and already in the second minute of the match it was very dangerous at the gates of "Dynamo" - it was Muleka who finished the flank attack of his team with a header from the goalkeeper's line, and only brilliant reaction of Buschan saved Kyiv from a goal. In general, although the hosts' initial onslaught looked tangible, but it did not last long - closer to the 10th minute of the match the game calmed down. Nevertheless, Besiktas were soon close to success again, and again through the efforts of Muleka. First, he struck again with a header from point-blank range, but hit his partner in the head. And then the Congolese struck from 20 metres, and the ball hit the bar of Dynamo's goal.
Kyivians responded to all this only on the 23rd minute of the match - it was Vanat shot from 25 metres, and it turned out to be a little bit above the crossbar. And five minutes later Popov, after a free-kick and a rebound from Vanat, headed the ball into the goal - again near the target.
Later on, Besiktas seemed to play the first number one, but did not create any spice at Dynamo's goal. We can note only Fernandes' free-kick, after which the ball flew near the bar. Otherwise, the hosts had no scoring chances in this segment of the match. As a result, the teams went into the break with zeros on the scoreboard.
Besiktas started the second half as actively as the first half and quickly managed to open the scoring. In the 48th minute of the match Uçan was close to success, he shot dangerously from a free kick, and Buschan reached the ball with great difficulty. Four minutes later, Abubakar took the game on himself, broke into the penalty area of Dynamo from the left and sent the ball into the far corner of the goal - 1:0.
Having conceded a goal, Dynamo ran to attack, but did not create any problems for the Besiktas defence. As a result, the hosts took back control of the match, but they were not as persistent in their attacking actions as they were at 0-0. Lucescu's team had great difficulty finding any ideas in their game. Looking at Dynamo's actions in this segment of the match, it was categorically difficult to understand why Lucescu's team expects to score at least one goal. But Besiktas were soon close to success again: in the 73rd minute of the match Muleka, having received a pass in the left side of the penalty area, struck a diverting shot, and Busan had to work hard to convert the game to a corner.
But in the 83rd minute Dynamo finally managed to show some result - the first (and, as it turned out, the only) shot in the goal. For the whole match! It was Andriyevskyi who shot from a free kick past the wall, the ball flew into the goal, but Gunok confidently covered the ball. "Besiktas" immediately responded with Zainutdinov's shot from seven metres, and here Buschan showed excellent reaction and once again saved his team from a goal.
That was the end of the match, and the head referee recorded a 1-0 victory for Besiktas. Thus, on the sum of two meetings (2:3, 0:1) Dynamo failed to solve the task of reaching the group stage of the Conference League and finished their European Cup campaign of the season-2023/24.
