Dynamo Kyiv is searching for a new specialist to succeed Mircea Lucescu as the club's head coach, according toSportyvka.
According to the source, Roman Hryhorchuk, the coach of Chornomorets, is a likely candidate for the Dynamo head coaching position, among others. This candidacy was confirmed by people close to Dynamo.
The president of the capital's club, Ihor Surkis, will allow the Romanian specialist to work until the end of the 2023/2024 season. Dynamo hope for the success of Kyiv's Lucescu-led side in the UPL, given the relegation from European competition, which makes it possible to focus on the domestic championship. In addition, the club has no intention of dismissing the Romanian because of the large compensation in the event of a potential termination of the agreement with the coach.
Another unfortunate fact is that Metalist-1925 is not the only club in the Ukrainian league whose business has suffered as a result of the Russian shelling. Chornomorets is also among these teams, so in the near future, the Sailors may face a sharp reduction in funding. Therefore, Grigorchuk's possible departure after the end of the season looks quite natural...
