David Fesyuk, the goalkeeper of the Ukrainian U-19 national team and Croatian Hajduk, has remained loyal to his Ukrainian citizenship.
As Dynamo.kiev.ua has learned, the football associations of Slovakia and Croatia offered the Ukrainian goalkeeper to change his football citizenship and play under their flags. Slovakia was ready to bring Fesyuk to the U-21 national team, and Croatia was ready to strengthen the goalkeeping position in the U-19 team.
Fesyuk was born in the city of Dubno. But his family has been living in Bratislava for a long time and has a residence permit. If he wished, Fesiuk could not only obtain a Slovak passport, but also football citizenship. Long-term residence in the EU and a residence permit also make it possible to obtain Croatian football citizenship. But David sees his future exclusively in the Ukrainian national team and does not want to give up his Ukrainian passport.
This season, Fesyuk is the main goalkeeper of the Haiduk youth team, which has won 4 victories at the start of the season and is leading the U-19 championship. He is also regularly involved in training with the club's first team from Split. Last season, he reached the final of the UEFA Youth League
