UEFA has named the refereeing team for the Euro 2024 qualifying match between Ukraine and England, which will be held next Saturday, 9 September, in Wroclaw, Poland.
Bulgarian referee Georgi Kabakov has been appointed as the chief referee of the match. The assistant referees on the lines will be: Martin Margaritov and Diyan Valkov. Fourth referee: Nikola Popov. The entire officiating crew is from Bulgaria.
We would like to add that Kabakov became a football referee in 2001. Since 2008, he started officiating matches of the Bulgarian top division. In 2013, he became a FIFA referee.
Since the 2016/2017 season, Kabakov worked at the matches of the Europa League, as well as the Nations League.
