Anatoliy Buznik: "A year ago, Sydorchuk refused to move to a foreign club, having a specific offer"

Former Metalurh Zaporizhzhya coach Anatoliy Buznik commented on the transfer of former Dynamo midfielder Serhiy Sydorchuk to Westerlo.

Anatoliy Buznik

- Why did Sydorchuk join Westerlo at the age of 32?

- "He played for Dynamo for many years, brought a lot of benefits, scored important goals. But now the youngsters are coming up, maybe it's time to try himself abroad. If they see him in a new club, then maybe it's right that he moved.

- Is there a factor of Mircea Lucescu in Sidorchuk's transfer?

- Compared to last year, the situation in the team hasn't changed much, but a year ago Serhiy refused to move to a foreign club, having a specific offer, and now he decided to accept it, so I don't know.

- Will Sergiy be able to match Belgium's speed and physicality?

- I don't see any problems. He's always been a regimented player, I think he understands that he's not young anymore. If you treat yourself professionally, there will be no problems.

The speed of thinking will help him, compensate for the fact that the speed of movement will be lower. At this age, intelligence should always come first, and Sergey has it.

- With his intelligence, will he be able to play this position until he is 37 or even longer?

- I don't know how long he can play, but I don't see any problems now. This is influenced by many factors - health, injuries, the intensity of the competition, and finally, the player's personal motivation.

Sydorchuk, whom I have known since my youth, is a professional and a regimentalist. So he will be able to play at the highest level for a few more years.

Да, посмотрите некоторые интервью с Сергеем. Глупым человеком его назвать сложно, даже если он мне или еще кому-то не нравился последние годы на поле
