Sevilla defender Sergio Ramos has admitted that he considered retirement after leaving PSG. The Spaniard returned to his home club, where his professional career began two decades ago.

"I have always chosen a club for emotions. I chose this project because I really believe in it. This is my first interview since I left Paris, where I had the opportunity to continue playing. After PSG, I thought my career was over.

It was not a question of money or a contract, but a question of philosophy, mentality, feelings. At Sevilla, we are united in these values. I had the opportunity to return home with the hope of lifting the title. I wake up every day for this goal, I believe we can do it. We know it's very difficult, but we have to believe in it," Ramos was quoted as saying by Sevilla's press service.
