Tymchyk's brother died in the war

Yuriy Dyatlyuk, brother of Dynamo Kyiv and Ukraine defender Oleksandr Tymchyk, died in the war against Russia.

Dyatyuk's life ended on 3 August. While performing a combat mission, he came under artillery fire near Maryinka, Donetsk region. He was 34 years old. He served as a senior sapper in an engineering platoon of the 95th Airmobile Battalion of the 95th Airmobile Brigade.

Before the return match of the 3rd round of the Conference League qualifiers, Dynamo coach Mircea Lucescu said that the brother of one of the team's players had been killed in the war.

Dyatlyuk was born in the village of Kryklovets, Vinnytsia region. Before the full-scale war, he played in the regional championship for the amateur team Kriazh-Agro. He also played for the Vinnytsia mini-football club Khimik.

Dyatyuk is survived by his wife, 11-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter.
