Arsenal striker Nicolas Pepe has joined Turkish side Trabzonspor as a free agent, the club's press service reports.
According to the Daily Mail, Pepe had one more year left on his contract with Arsenal, but yesterday, by agreement, the player and the club cancelled the contract. This allowed the player to join Trabzonspor, with whom Pepe signed a one-year contract.
Thus, Arsenal did not earn a penny on Pepe. But at least the Gunners will be able to reduce their wages by around £140,000 a week.
It should be added that Pepe has played 112 matches for Arsenal, scoring 27 goals and providing 21 assists.
