Myron Markevych, the head coach of Karpaty, shared with 1927.kiev.ua his expectations from the matches of the Ukrainian national team against England and Italy.
- The teams are very, very difficult, but we need to try and get points. Two draws would be a very good result. It seems to me that it will be easier for our team to play against England, because the English have already scored points. Italy will be harder - they really need to beat the Ukrainian national team.
- Can there be any surprises from Serhii Rebrov's team for such eminent national teams?
- They can, why not? You need to go out and play. Serhii Rebrov has recently taken over the national team, but the players are practically the same as those who played under Shevchenko and Petrakov. I don't see any serious problems with that.
- Which players will lead the team in these matches?
- Probably Mudryk and Zinchenko. We hope that Yaremchuk will also "pull himself up". Perhaps the move to Valencia will do him good and he is in a better psychological state now, because Valencia is a really good club.
