Argentina striker Lionel Messi brought the world champions a 1-0 victory over Ecuador in the Euro 2024 qualifying match with a precise free-kick.

This is the 65th penalty in Messi's career. In this respect, he equalled the president of his club Inter Miami, David Beckham. There are four more in this list:

1. 77 - Juninho Pernambucano;
2. 70 - Pele;
3. 66 - Ronaldinho, Victor Legrotalier.

It should be added that out of 65 accurate shots, Messi made 50 while playing for Barcelona, 11 for the national team, 2 for PSG and 2 for Inter Miami.
