In the 2024 UEFA European Championship qualifying match against the Georgian national team, Lamin Yamal came on as a substitute in the 44th minute of the match. In the second half, the young Barcelona pupil scored his debut goal. Thus, Lamin Yamal became the youngest player in the history of the national team to score a goal. At the time of the goal, Yamal was 16 years and 57 days old.
