"Tsymbalar Memorial Match" on Russia: Smertin and Kornilenko made "world stars"

On 9 September, Moscow hosted the so-called match in memory of Ilya Tsymbalar, who once played for Spartak Moscow.

None of the world stars announced by local propagandists came to Moscow. Because of this, the "world team" had to be hastily formed from improvised material. Thus, not only Tymoschuk and Kornilenko, but even Smertin, Zhirkov and Mostovoi became outstanding foreign performers.

The fans are probably not interested in how this comedy went and how it ended.
