On Monday, the Ukrainian national team held a regular pre-match training session at the San Siro Stadium in Milan. It is at this arena that the Euro 2024 qualifying match Italy - Ukraine will take place today.
The famous arena is already dressed in the colours of the national team. By the way, Italy will occupy Milan's dressing room before the match, while the Ukrainians have been allocated - no, not Inter's dressing room, but another, third - the guest dressing room. It turns out that all visitors to the San Siro are accommodated here, and not in the preparatory area of one of the two stadium owners.
The San Siro pitch was in fairly good condition. However, it was not a perfect surface - the grass was somewhat torn out from under the boots. However, as you know, the conditions are the same for both opponents.
The hosts found an opportunity to make the Ukrainians happy in this difficult time for our country. When the national team stepped onto the San Siro pitch, one of the stadium's giant screens showed the words "The Italian Football Federation and the national team welcome friends from Ukraine!".
After the warm-up, during which the physical training coach Vitaliy Kulyba offered the boys several competitive exercises for agility and attentiveness, the team began to prepare for the match. This session was attended by all 25 performers present at the national team camp. An hour's work in the arena of tomorrow's match is exactly what the head coach needs to assess the performers' condition and select the main squad for the match.
