In an interview with the UPL TV telegram channel, Serhii Kravchenko, a former player of the Ukrainian national team and now an assistant head coach of Oleksandriya, analysed the game of the Ukrainian national team in the Euro 2024 qualifying match against England (1: 1).

- If we achieved a result, then the game plan worked. Yes, it was a more defensive game. But we played against England. And we didn't allow our opponents to create much.

- Only one shot on goal. Is this normal? And do we have a plan B in case we concede first?

- That's a good question. After the game at Wembley, there was a lot of criticism that we didn't shoot enough and this time we didn't shoot enough. But the key thing in football is the result. When you have it, nothing else matters. Yes, you always want more. But a draw with England is a good result.

- Was the missed goal Mykolenko's individual mistake?

- You can say that. Although he saw and controlled everything. But he made a mistake in choosing his position by a metre.

- Did any of the players or any part of the team deserve criticism?

- I never consider it necessary to divide the team and criticise someone separately. The fact that we played well in defence is a merit not only of the defensive line, but of the whole team, starting with Yaremchuk, who moved well and did everything. And then Mudryk, Tsygankov and all the players in the attacking group played well in defence. The same goes for the attack. We can't say that the few chances created are the fault of Mudryk, Sudakov, Tsygankov or Yaremchuk.

- Whose performance did you like the most?

- Bushchan, Zinchenko, Sudakov. As long as Sudakov had the strength, because he missed a lot of games after the operation, he was very useful. In general, I think he is a key player in our team and the entire championship. Perhaps even the best player.
