- "It is a lie that in October last year I was informed about a future project that excluded me from Juventus. In fact, it was in October that I had the opportunity to continue contract negotiations: we moved forward together because the club understood the importance of having me in the dressing room.

Then I heard in an interview with the coach that I was told in February that I would no longer be part of the Juventus team. This is also not true: the coach called me into his office only at the end of March, before the Europa League match against Freiburg, to say that he thought it would be a good idea to start my coaching career. I replied that I respected his opinion, but I didn't want to stop until the 2024 European Championships," said Leonardo Bonucci,

It will be recalled that Leonardo Bonucci joined Union as a free agent in the summer transfer window.
