Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone commented on his team's defeat in the La Liga match against Valencia on Matchday 5.

- "Everyone saw that Valencia looked better and did what they had to do. We played the weakest match since I've been at the club. Congratulations to the opponent, they did not allow us to press and use the space. Valencia's players ran better and used the space.
