The guests started the game actively and aggressively, but Dynamo were ready for this initial onslaught from Vorskla. Slowly, the White and Blues seized the initiative and opened the scoring in the middle of the half. Kremchanin finished his team's attack with a filigree shot from the post.
Having opened the scoring, Kyiv continued to attack and had several more chances at the opponent's goal, but failed to convert them. Anton Tsarenko, who played a half for the youth team, and centre-forward Matvey Ponomarenko were particularly threatening to the visitors' goal.
In the second half, the game was played on opposite courses. Both teams attacked actively, with Dynamo's quick attacks and counterattacks being more dangerous. At the beginning of the half, Gerich and Kremchanin had opportunities to score. The most active Ponomarenko could have scored several times, but the score did not change until the final whistle.
