Frustration grew for both teams and in the 38th minute Dybala received a yellow card, followed by a flurry of yellow cards for Empoli players. Closer to the break, Empoli tried to regroup and went forward with two substitutions. Jacopo Fazzini and Sebastiano Bastoni took the field in the 46th minute, replacing their partners in search of a much-needed break.
However, Roma were not ready to concede their advantage. In the 55th minute, Dybala struck again, scoring his second goal of the match and further consolidating Roma's position. Closer to the hour mark Empoli made another double substitution: Marco Destro and Francesco Caputo came into the game, Roma also made a change, bringing on Andrea Belotti in place of Dybala in the 64th minute. It didn't take long for the new striker to make his mark on the game. In the 80th minute, Bryan Cristante scored a stunning goal, and two minutes later Romelu Lukaku further demoralised the Empoli defence. Roma continued to impress in the final minutes of the game, adding another goal to their tally. In the 86th minute, Gianluca Mancini struck the Empoli goal. The Roma coach and fans were delighted with their team's outstanding performance. This resounding victory made Serie A rivals realise that Roma are indeed a team to be reckoned with this season. After the final whistle, a remarkable 7-0 scoreline popped up on the scoreboard and Roma were triumphant. The team's dominance throughout the game was evident in their exceptional goal scoring ability and exemplary teamwork. With such a convincing victory, Roma will undoubtedly be full of confidence as they continue their Serie A campaign.
