Martin was replaced by Y. Herrera. Conflicts broke out during the match, as a result of which R. Torrent (Granada CF) and Y. Couto (Girona) received yellow cards in the 71st and 72nd minutes respectively. In the 75th minute Granada made their fourth substitution, replacing A. Puertas with O. Melendo. Granada continued to push forward and made two more substitutions in the 83rd minute. K. Neva and B. Zaragoza were replaced by F. Didiu and A. Fernandez. The attacking actions bore fruit: in the 85th minute L. Boye put the ball in the net, reducing the gap in the score, but Girona did not give up and in the 89th minute scored another goal into the opponent's goal, the author of which was Y. Kouto. In the 90th minute both teams made the last substitutions: Girona had D. Blind instead of Juanpe and Savio instead of Valeri. At the end of the match Juanpe and J. Herrera received yellow cards. The exciting match between Granada and Girona demonstrated the tense nature of La Liga. Despite Granada's incredible comeback attempt, Girona won 2-4. Both players and fans left the stadium with lasting memories of a match filled with drama, goals and outstanding results.
