Column by Serhiy Tyshchenko. Who will replace Brazko?

Former Dynamo captain Serhiy Sydorchuk has joined Belgian side Vestelo. Volodymyr Brazhko has every chance of replacing him in the capital's team. The match against Vorskla confirmed this.

Brazhko is not only a potential mainstay of the team, a leader in the middle of the field, but also an asset to the club. There was a lot of talk around Vladimir in the summer. Torino and Girona were interested in him. If the player opens up and shows all his talents, no one will keep him for 10 years, like Sydorchuk. Times have changed. Today, we need to think about a potential replacement for Brazko. Which players will be able to replace him in the future. So that a potential transfer does not come as a surprise later.

Everyone should reject the idea that a cool foreigner will come to Dynamo for 2 million euros and immediately strengthen the team. We need to bring up our own youth. In today's circumstances, there is no other way out.

There are enough talented players in Dynamo's system who can eventually compete for the first team.

Since 2003, Sasha Yatsyk has been one of them. At one time, Yatsyk and Brazhko were players in the middle of the field for Ihor Kostiuk's team. The pair showed great results in the UEFA Youth League, beating Barca, Benfica, Bayern Munich and defeating Deportivo. In the future, this connection may resume in the first team. Yatsyk and Brazhko are very similar in terms of their style of play and even appearance. I think it was a big mistake that Oleksandr was not loaned out last season. Yurii Vernydub and Patrick van Leeuwen showed interest. Now we could have a player for the first team. The extra season in the U-19 did not have the best effect on Yatsyk's emotional state. The new season starts for Zorya. He hardly played with Nenad Lalatovic. After the Serbian's departure, he has a stable playing practice. All conclusions will be drawn in the spring. Now Sasha is gaining experience in adult football. By the end of the season, it will become clear whether he can qualify for Dynamo's first team or whether he will need another season on loan.

Unfortunately, the year 2004 has fallen through. This is not only true for the position in the middle of the field. In fact, only Anton Tsarenko has any prospects this year. This was clear from the matches of the Ukrainian youth team in 2004, where there were very few Dynamo players.

The year 2005 is represented by three players - Roman Salenko, Maksym Vasylets and Nazar Yanchyshyn. Roman is the son of Oleh Salenko. He started playing like his father in attack and then moved to the middle of the field. He lacks a few skills here. He is a textured guy who is able to fight in the box. Even at the U-19 level, he was never a main player. So far, there are no prospects. Vasilets and Yanchyshyn were the 2005 national team players and the leading players of Oleg Kuznetsov's team in the selection for Euro U-17. Now they have every chance of retaining their status in the qualification for Euro U-19. Vasylets has very good anthropometry, power wrestling, a lot of rough work. Yanchyshyn is a more subtle player. So far, it doesn't look like both of them will be able to get to the first team from the youth team. They will have to go on loan to adult football next summer and prove their ambition for the first team.

The players born in 2006 are now the main players in the U-19. This season, Ihor Kostiuk switched to playing as a two-forward (only against Vorskla did they play with a ten-man squad, as Anton Tsarenko was getting game practice). Danylo Ishchenko plays as a support player, and Kyrylo Osypenko is more of a creative player. The former is the son of Mykola Ishchenko, who once played for Karpaty, Shakhtar, Mariupol, and Veres. He even played one match for the Ukrainian national team. After his career, he worked at the Kyiv club Left Bank, from where he moved to the Dynamo Academy. Where he lasted only one year. After that, he went to work as an assistant to Yuriy Maksymov. First, at Zvyagel. Now at Dnipro-1.

His son Danya is the main player of the 2006 national team of Ukraine. At the beginning of the season he did not play because of an injury. Now he is the main player of the U-19. It's a bit difficult for him because he is only 17 years old, and his teammates are often older. But this is not a big problem for Ishchenko Jr. The guy's potential is huge. Right now he is still very young for adult football. At least he needs to play a full season for Dynamo's youth team. Osypenko is a more creative player. He is a different style of player than Sydorchuk. He is closer to Mykola Shaparenko.

In 2006, it was beneficial that they were at Zorya last season. Not everyone was a starter, but the U-19 experience at the age of 16 was very useful for many players.

The year 2007 is represented by Volodymyr Ozymai. At the age of 16, Kostiuk was already using him in the youth team. Ozymai is very close to Sydorchuk's style of play - tall, long legs, a lot of rough work on the pitch, pressure on the opponent. His potential is slightly higher. Last weekend, Volodymyr scored for Shakhtar in the U-17 DUFL. The boy is doing well with psychology and leadership skills. Volodymyr Yezerskyi has been called up to the 2007 national team of Ukraine.
