Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Dmytro Riznyk commented on his team's defeat to Portuguese side Porto (1-3) in the Champions League group stage matchday 1 in Hamburg yesterday.
"The Champions League is always responsible matches. It was a debut for me, I'm very happy to make my debut in the tournament. This is a tournament where all the strongest teams have gathered.
Psychologically, the team was ready, but Porto pointed out our weaknesses. Movements in defence let us down a bit, but in general the game was almost equal. I do not think that we were inferior somewhere. It's just that Porto used their chances, and that's why the scoreline is like this.
It's sad that we lost. But it's only the first game. We will consider the mistakes and move on," Riznyk said.
