Inter Miami and Ukraine defender Serhii Kryvtsov told how Lionel Messi and David Beckham support our country, which is repelling Russia's large-scale military aggression.
"I know that Leo [Messi] has already donated his Argentina jersey to United24. I spoke to Sergio [Busquets]. Of course, there is no such thing as them asking me to show them some video from the front line or tank battles. They ask me about the situation, everyone sympathises.
I know that some of the guys, even before I joined the club, helped people who came to the United States. And even at Inter Miami, when they found out that I bought tickets for Ukrainian refugees to the game, they said that you don't have to pay for it. If you need tickets, especially for charity, just tell us, and we'll do everything. They contacted one of the Florida for Ukraine charities and invited children and their parents to the game. The children unfolded the logo before the match, they had activities with animators, dinner at the stadium. Then they went down to the pitch and we took photos with them. Part of the proceeds from the tickets were sent to this fund.
When I first met Beckham, I first thanked him for being one of the first world stars to show that there was a war in Ukraine. He replied: "We have to do this." We didn't have a long conversation: "How are you? How is your family?". When the guys asked me how Beckham was, I said: Very handsome (laughs). He always works out in the fitness room at the base when he arrives, he takes care of himself. I don't know where he gets his motivation. But their couple - David and Victoria - look like they're on the cover of a magazine," said Kryvtsov.
А Сергію Кривцову дякую за цю розповідь!
