Zorya Luhansk defender Bohdan Butko told us what kind of football the team played under coach Lalatovic.
-- "To be honest, under Lalatovic I didn't see any changes in the game at all, any improvement. I sat and watched the games and didn't understand what the team was playing. Although, when Nenad first came, he immediately told us: "I want to play attacking football. I always play like that". But in fact, this was not the case. We played with five defenders. He did not explain to the players where to move, where to run - he did not explain anything.
He gave the theory, but there were no specifics - individual work with the players, work on the lines. I believe that if you want to convey something new to people, you have to literally lead the players around the pitch by the hand during training and show them where to move. Moreover, our tactical pattern has changed.
Before that, we used to play a 4-3-3 formation all the time. And here is a different game model - five defenders. If you introduce a new tactical scheme, you need to constantly tell the team what to do. I didn't see that from Lalatovic," said Bohdan.
