Garritano came on for Frosinone, replacing G. Caso and J. Baez. Salernitana responded with their own substitutions: P. Mazzocchi replaced K. Ikwuemesi on the same minute.
In the final stages of the match, both teams continued to strive for the winning goal. In the 77th minute Frosinone brought on M. Sule and V. Cheddira, and in the 78th minute Salernitana replaced G. Maggiore with E. Bohinen. The fresh energised the game, but neither team was able to get the winning goal. The intensity of the match led to an increase in the number of yellow cards. In the 81st minute, Salernitana's M. Lovato was cautioned, adding to the list of disciplinary offences of the day. In the final minutes, both teams made further substitutions. In the 84th minute, Salernitana's J. Cabral and M. Lovato were replaced by E. Botheim and F. Daniliuk. Frosinone responded in the 90th minute by replacing E. Barrenechea with M. Bourabia. Despite all the efforts of both teams, the scoreline remained unchanged until the final whistle. The exciting encounter between Salernitana and Frosinone showed all the sharpness of the rivalry in Serie A. Both teams fought hard and showed their skills on the pitch.
