- "My goal is to have players who understand the history, tradition and fans of Karpaty playing for them. These must be characterful people. I watch a lot of matches of the young players from Zakarpattia, it's a great chance for them.

- Do you only watch matches of young players?

- No, I can also watch matches of the UPL, the First and Second Leagues. The director of the selection department, Anatolii Ptashnyk, sets tasks: which match I should go to and which player I should watch. The selection team not only watches potential newcomers, but also opponents to analyse the game. I am very interested in working at Karpaty, I am gaining a lot of experience here.

- When Dynamo played poorly last season, you said that they should go to church. Do you have such a tradition at Karpaty?

- Collectively, no, but the guys do go to church. All our players and coaches are believers. By the way, you've come up with a good idea, we should start a tradition of going to church as a team.
