Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Nazar Voloshyn, who scored his team's fourth goal in yesterday's 4-2 win over Cherkasy LNZ in the 8th round of the Ukrainian Premier League, shared his impressions of the game.
- Nazar, you came on as a substitute with the score at 1-1. What did the coaches ask of you?
- Yes, we didn't expect such a moment to arise and a penalty to be awarded against us. In my opinion, the 11-metre penalty was awarded fairly, at least it seemed so from my angle. Immediately after the score was equal, substitutions were made. I came on at the same time as Benito. I think we did well, we added pace to the attacks.
- Were these substitutions planned before the conceded goal?
- I don't know about that. At first, we were just told to go warm up and be ready to go on the pitch, but they didn't specify when exactly we would go on. And after the penalty they called us.
- After the second goal, the team scored twice more. What was missing to score the second one earlier and not bring it to a draw?
- We had our chances, but for some reason we couldn't make them happen. We probably lacked perseverance. And then we played with even more zeal - and everything worked out.
- What were your impressions of your opponent, the Premier League debutant?
- A good, fighting team that goes forward and tries to play good football.
- Do you feel that LNZ has enough experienced players?
- Yes, there are. Personally, I know Oleksii Khoblenko, I played with him at Kryvbas, and Ivan Kaliuzhnyi.
- You scored again. Is this the result of your work?
- Karavayev passed to Buyalsky, who continued to Benito, and he rolled the ball to me into the empty net. Everything was invented on the field, a little creativity from everyone. My task was to be in the right place.
- Did the debutants get any congratulations after the game?
- Of course. After the match, everyone congratulated Brazhko on his debut goal and Naveen Malysh on his long-awaited debut in the first team. Everyone is happy for them.
